The former Real Madrid teammates have amassed more than 340 international caps. They have several young too, including Gonçalo Inácio and Gonçalo Ramos, both aged 22, and 19-year-old Benfica midfielder João Neves, who is being touted as Portugal’s next big star. While there are some questions about Portugal’s starting lineup, Diogo Costa is expected to begin as the goalkeeper, with Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, and Ronaldo forming part of their exciting frontline.
Czech will not have midfielder Michal Sadilek after he was ruled out for the entire tournament, having injured his leg while riding his bike days before this game. West Ham’s Tomas Soucek will start in midfield and Patrik Schick should provide the bulk of the firepower for a team without a huge amount of threat in the goals department.
